Having said that, there some core mantras which form a part of the sound therapy for conditions ranging from Mental to Physical. It is practically impossible to remember all the mantra’s and more so in today’s world when we are shrouded with enough chores to attend. The basic aim of chanting mantra’s is to induce certain sound frequencies that impact our neurons coherently and synergistically.
The Vedas have more than 20, 000 mantras and each mantra when chanted produces sound vibrations that impact specific neurons of the body. They say sound is the biggest healer, not without any reason!
Nothing like an ‘Om’ to bring peace and calm to oneself. The correct chanting of Om vibrates right from the stomach, through the lungs, into the throat, nasal passage and finally to the skull and brain. 432Hz is a frequency crafted to precision with a longer sound wave and slower frequency for bigger surface areas. Om vibrates at the frequency of 432Hz which aligns us with nature and helps us take an inward journey to address the divine within us. ‘Om’ is what created life and Om is best explained as the cosmic sound formed by the blend of A+U+M. Everything is pulsating with a form of energy – nothing is really standing still. The four Vedas are Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and Atharva Veda.Īs Albert Einstein said “Everything in life is Vibration”. Though the Vedas are scriptures, yet ‘Shruti’ is an ideal way to depict them, as they are more heard than remembered unlike the ‘Smritis’ such as the Mahabharata and Ramayana.
The scriptural format of what we see as Vedas is a version of what was passed down in an oral format from master to student for generations much before 1500 BCE. Here it is not just about any general knowledge but the knowledge of our core existence, it’s cause in tandem with self-actualization and union with the divine.
